April 2020 the Mat-Su Schools Foundation, First Student and the Mat-Su Principal's Association awarded six $2000 scholarships to the following students:
- Keely Livingston, graduate of Mat-Su Career & Technical High School, will be pursuing a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Montana State returning to the Mat-Su to provide compassionate, knowledgeable, and professional care.
- Brooklyn Kopsack, graduate of Colony High School, plans to get a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from UAA and then become a certified physical therapist. She looks forward to helping local athletes.
- Isabella Brown, graduate of Colony High, want to become a physician and return to serve the smaller Mat-Su communities. Isabella will be shadowing a local doctor this summer to learn more about what she is so passionate about.
- Emerson Dean Moser, graduate of Mat-Su Career & Technical High School, plans to study aerospace engineering at the University of Colorado. In addition to working as an engineer, he hopes one day hold elected office or serve in public policy in some capacity.
- Kayla Horning, graduate of Mat-Su Middle College School, will attend UAF to pursue a career in geological engineering. Kayla will balance saving the natural beauty of Alaska and its wildlife with developing its natural oil resources.
- Lucas Graupman, graduate of Su-Valley High after completing his senior year at APU in the Early Honors program. He is a research intern for a local law firm and plans to be a business lawyer after earning his degree.
